Join Amanda Noga and Marc Laws in Kamakura, where the Cherry-tree forests meet the sea and ancient traditions meet present time in the most natural way.

Through the week we will be dunked in yogic arts, Japanese culture and the healing power of onsen t

and discover our true nature in the reflection of Japan's spectacular natural elements: flowing lava fire, pristine waterfalls, thermal hot springs, tropical jungle and majestic mountains.

Each sunrise and sunset we will dive into yoga practices and meditations, journeying through the chakras, complimented with intuitive live music and ambient soundscapes.

Enjoy daily yoga practice, meditation and sound healing in the open-air yoga shala overlooking the Hawaiian coastline. Over the course of the week, Amanda will guide you through the chakras, drawing inspiration from their corresponding elements; earth, water, fire and air. Morning practice will be an invigorating and detoxifying vinyasa flow.  Sunset practice will be a slow, soothing sequences to restore balance on all levels. Each practice will incorporate ancient yogic techniques with creative sound healing,  pranayama, and meditation to elevate your consciousness.

You will be provided with all meals over the course of the week. Each day will include healthy and nutritious breakfast, lunch and dinner. The delicious menu consists of organic, seasonal and local produce.

Kalani cuisine encompasses a variety of styles including Thai, Indian, and Italian. Our chefs have extensive training and a common interest in creating healthful and delicious meals.

We celebrate the abundance of Hawaii by serving local tropical fruits and vegetables and fresh caught fish. Seafood is often served at dinner (chicken and beef are served occasionally), and vegetarians options are provided, as well. Most importantly, our chefs firmly believe that the care and love invested in the cuisine is transmitted to the diner, and everything is prepared with aloha.

Kalani's accommodations are simple, outside-in spaces that offer comfort and tranquility. Angular octagonal or pentagonal structures are a contrast to box-based architecture, and invite a departure from routine.

Kalani accommodations are not equipped with heating or air conditioning, as Kalani is situated on the east coast of Hawaii Island, benefiting from the persistent east-to-west Pacific trade wind flow. Windows in our accommodations are screened, maximizing airflow and views, and there are no phones or televisions in rooms.

I have wanted to participate in a yoga retreat for quite a few years and I can tell you that this one was worth waiting for. Kerala is a beautiful location and Amanda's retreat experience is a joy. Her practice has a softness and strength to it that is very unique. I felt very supported during the retreat, and I left feeling completely rejuvenated with a calm clarity that I have rarely experienced. No matter what your age, or yoga ability is, this is a very special travel and yoga experience to share with wonderful like minded people
Amanda, I am even more blessed to have met Amanda and experience one of her retreats, first of many I'm sure. She truly has a special gift in creating a profound space helping anyone that crosses her path to bring more gratitude, presence, love & light into their existence. Amanda's patience and wisdom remind us to be gentle with ourselves and honour our truths. I thank you so much for her love, care and the memories.
Amanda's beautiful energy and the way she holds space for flow, inspired connection with yourself and with others and a totally nurturing environment brings out the best in everyone on retreat. So much laughter and lightness was shared in this space and it was a total life recharge and refresh. I will always treasure the connected feeling from the India retreat - I so fully support and recommend Amanda and her offerings
